We ventured off to PNC today for Mother's Day & Kids Day. Got my free Zach Duke jersey bag! Check it out!
BUT... Here are my reasons for being a MOM!! I LOVE my boys!!!

Day 117 -- STARS --

Today was our PTO Teacher Appreciation luncheon. Our PTO is truly amazing! They went above and beyond this year decorating the library to look like a beach theme and preparing sooo many great dishes for us! There is always a raffle drawing every year also, with prizes ranging from gift cards to jewelry. :) Well... this year, I won a flower, and attached to it were these cool STAR earrings. And... the 1st thing I thought of was (drumroll...) THESE ARE DEN STAR earrings!
So... you better bet that they will be worn to the next DEN event! :)

Day 124 ** Trees! **

I picked the boys up from school... and we went geocaching. We grabbed 3, went for dinner, and grabbed 3 more. Check out this tree where we found one of them. How cool! It was such a peaceful area too.

Day 121 --- Pitt Bound ---

We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Station Square... then we headed over to Rivers casino for a live 80's-90's band called Velveeta. I didn't play the slots, but here's a pic of Jan's small win. :)

Day 118 *** 30 ***

Today is my 30th birthday... GULP! Yepper, I said 30!!! I am officially in the "30 Club" (As my friends call it) now.
Check out the GORGEOUS flowers that my "east coast" Trace (McGrath) sent me at work! What an awesome surprise! I have the best friends a gal could ask for! Love ya, McGrath!! Thank you for brightening my day!

Day 114 Geocaching...

Jan came over for another day of Geocaching with the boys. We were super excited that we got our GeoTrail books to get stamped! We got 6 caches today. I had to post 2 pics... check out that freaky "Dollbaby Rooftop" place. Yep, that's the name of the cache! Creepy!

Day 112 Field Trip!

The kids had a great time today at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. They learned all about dinosaurs during their guided tour, and two classes where they got to view fossils and dig for their own T-Rex claw or Stegosaurus toe. Fun!

Day 108 -- PNC PARK --

Ok... we were all super excited for our first Kid's Day of the season at PNC park! What a great game too, the BUCCOS actually WON!!
The boys had alot of fun... We even did the autograph session before the game. And... our picture made the jumbotron... and my text to the boys made the scrolling screen! I LOVE baseball season!

Today my kiddos went on a fossil hunt! They had so much fun!

Day 68 -- Fossil Eggs --

Coffee, salt, flour, sand, water, MIX, MIX, MIX! My house reeks of coffee tonight!

Inside each little 'fossil egg' is a little plastic dinosaur. My first graders will be Paleontologists this week, as they locate their fossil egg, break it open, and begin researching the dinosaur inside. It's always an exciting time in first grade!

Day 65 ~ Carnegie~

I took the boys to the Carnegie Science Center today. We had a great time! Afterwards, I took them for their first trip up & down the Duquesne Incline. I took this pic from the look-out at the top of Mt. Washington.

Day 59 ~ Olympic Endings ~

What an exciting hockey game tonight as the USA took on Canada. I snapped this picture as the game went into OT. However... I will say that Canada ended up with the Gold. I'm not at all upset with this, although I'd have loved to see USA grab it. BUT... our OWN Sidney Crosby (PITTSBURGH PENGUINS) made that winning goal!
